Before this, the suspect allegedly collected information near local military recruitment centers and administrative buildings, gathered intelligence about military facilities and places with large concentrations of people, and tracked the vehicles and home addresses of Ukrainian military personnel and their families whom Russian special services planned to kill. An FSB handler provided coordinates of a hideout in a forest, from which the suspect collected the explosive substance and electric detonator.
